The Philosophy of "mens sana in corpore sano" - "a healthy mind in a healthy body" has long been a part of Prep education. Preppers strive for excellence in athletics as well as academics. In striving for success, the members of the Prep coaching staff endeavor to instill the qualities of leadership, loyalty, and sportsmanship. The student athlete learns to cope with winning and losing - to be humble in victory and proud in defeat.

Eric Gregg - Head Coach Phone: 267-939-3742

Eric GreggEric was born and raised in West Philadelphia. He learned the sport and goalie position at a young age in school. Gregg honed his skills at Camp Tecumseh in New Hampshire. He attended high school at the Episcopal Academy and won back-to-back Pennsylvania State Championships in 1995 and 1996.  Gregg also attended the Lawrenceville School (NJ) in 1997 and was named lacrosse team MVP.  Eric played collegiately at Gettysburg College from 1998-2002. While there the Bullets won 4 consecutive conference championships and went to back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championship games in 2001 and 2002.

Soon after college Gregg began coaching goalies in 2003 at the high school varsity level at Lower Merion HS in Ardmore, Pa. He then moved on to coach defense and goalies at Penn Charter HS in Philadelphia from 2004-2008 and helped guide the Quakers to the PA State Playoffs each year and the 2008 PA State Playoff Final Four.

After some gentle nudging from former coaches, Gregg returned to the field as a player in 2006 for Philadelphia's premier men's post-collegiate club team GMH Lacrosse Club, formerly MAB Paints Lacrosse Club.  Eric was promptly invited to the MLL's Philadelphia Barrage training camp in 2007, earned a spot on the roster, and currently holds a goalie spot for the Barrage.

Born August 17, 1978, Gregg resides in Philadelphia.  He founded Head-Heart-Hustle Lacrosse in 2008 to provide individual and team lacrosse training.  Also co-founded L.E.A.P.S. (Lacrosse, Education, Attitude, Perseverance, Success) in 2008 which is a non-profit program designed to educate kids in inner city Philadelphia about the game of lacrosse and the importance of positive thinking.

Greer attended Ridley HS (PA) and won Pennsylvania state titles in 1994 and 1997. He earned all-league honors as a midfielder in 1996. At Cabrini, Greer was a first-team all-conference midfielder in 2000 and 2001.
